[Solved]: The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id in Magento 2

When you test your site on Facebook debugger and the warning “The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id” appears it means you have not specified the Facebook app ID for your site. This may limit your ability to use Facebook Insights.

For this, you need to Add Facebook App ID in your Magento 2 Store.

How to Add Facebook App ID in Magento 2?

  • Login to your Magento 2 back end.
  • On the left side Admin panel, click on Content and under Design, select Configuration.
  • Choose the Store View you want the required properties to be added to by pressing the Edit button.
  • Expand the HTML Head section and add the “fb:app_id” tag in the Scripts and Style Sheets field.
