Overview:
After that you have installed this events module a separate landing page for an event is created. You can customize it from the configuration section. We will start by adding events and will see configuration section a bit later.
Add/Manage Events:
Login to Admin Panel and navigate to FME Extensions -> Events - >Add Events. You will see following five tabs to configure;
Event Information
In this section you will enter all the necessary information about event. For example event image, Venue, date, store selection, content, Youtube video URL etc. Google Maps is integrated so it will show up venue on a map when users will move the mouse over it. At the bottom is a drop down from where you can enable or disable this particular event
This information is displayed beneath any event on event detail page.
Set search engine friendly meta title and description to capture better search engine rankings
If you would like to display images in a gallery for any event, just click on this tab and upload them. These images will automatically be shown in an elegant slider.
You can sell products with events such as tickets. From this tab select the product which you would like to sell. Customers will see a link on an event page which will automatically send them to cart page once clicked.
And that’s it, you have added your event successfully. If you need to edit it for some reason navigate to FME Extensions -> Events -> Manage Events
Lets now move to configuration section and see what you can do from here
Configuration:
This section allows you to perform following tasks;
Configure SEO settings for Events Page:
Grow your popularity and reach in search engines by filling up this section. Enter titles, description, keywords and URL prefix.
Customize your Page Layouts:
This Magento Events manager extension allows you to customize page layouts for following pages;
- Calendar View layout
- Events Landing Page layout
- Events Detail page layout
Select layout type such as 1 columns, 3 columns, 3 columns-right bar etc.
Customize Status and Error Messages:
These messages can appear when an event has expired, a product associated with an event is out of stock or there is no event for any date. You can enter appropriate text to be shown accordingly.
Customizing Calendar View:
You can enter how many events to be shown on a particular date. You can also enable a link back to events landing page.
Header and Footer Links:
Configure basic settings such as header and footer links, its label, breadcrumbs from the basic configuration section.
Customize and Place Events Static block to any Page:
If you want to place an events block any where copy following code and paste it on any CMS page.

From basic configuration section you can customize it such as title, day/week/month’s events
Enable Google Maps on Venue:
You can enable venue to be shown on Google Maps on mouse over from basic configuration section.
And that’s all, go to your webpage, click on events page and enjoy.
