How to Enable Image Zoom or Make a Product Image Zoom on Mouseover in Magento 2?

Upon installing and enabling the extension, the zoom feature automatically gets enabled on all or selected product images in your Magento 2 store. The extension gives you two zoom options - magnifier and lightbox. Each option has many settings that you can configure according to your preferences.

  • Install the Magento 2 Product Image Zoom extension by FME.
  • Go to FME EXTENSIONS -> Configurations
  • Under 'General Settings', set Enable Module to 'Yes' and select a zoom type in Zoom Type.
  • Configure settings under Magnifier Settings or Light Box Settings depending upon which Zoom type you have selected.

This will enable Zoom on all product images. If you want to apply the Zoom feature to specific products only, follow these steps.

  • Navigate to FME EXTENSIONS -> Manage Rules -> Add New Rule.
  • In the Main tab, give the Rule a Title, set a Priority, and restrict the rule to a Store View and Customer Groups.
  • In the Conditions tab, create a rule using the 'SKU' attribute and select all the products you want to apply the Zoom feature to .
  • Save the changes.
