Login As Customer for Magento 2

With Magento 2 login as customer extension, you don’t need customer credentials to access his/her account. It’s really a 1-click process to explore the store from the customer’s point of view. Your customer’s grid has a ‘login as customer’ button against each customer’s profile. Click the button and you will be directed to the relevant customer’s account dashboard.

It’s very important to keep a track of all the changes in customer accounts, especially if your store is managed by multiple admins. This extension records every login as customer attempt and can be viewed on a single grid. It records login date and time, admin and customer name and email with ID, and the page from where the login attempt was made.

As mentioned above, admin can access customer’s dashboard from multiple pages i.e. customer grid, order grid, order view page, invoice grid, invoice view page, etc. If you don’t feel the need to display the button on any page, you can disable it from the backend. 

You may want to disable page cache when you are using the store as a customer to prevent any changes from taking effect. You can do this by selecting ‘Yes’ in the option. Also, you can auto or manually select the store view to log in to as a customer.

By accessing the store as a customer, you can accurately identify different areas where you may improve your customer’s user experience. You can also troubleshoot problems customers are facing and fix bugs that you as an admin may not be able to see.
