A Heritage Brand, Built for the Digital Age

Tehzeeb Bakers is one of Pakistan's most cherished bakery chains, known for its rich legacy of quality confectioneries, cakes, and baked goods. Despite strong brand recognition and a loyal customer base, the brand lacked a digital commerce presence that could match its offline reputation.

FME Extensions was engaged to design and develop a complete digital solution from the ground up. This meant building a polished, performant Magento 2 storefront, integrating our proprietary extensions to handle multi-location store pickup and custom order requirements, and developing a full-featured Point of Sale (POS) system to unify in-store and online operations.

Every layer of the project, architecture, design, frontend, backend, extensions, and POS, was handled entirely by our team, making this a true end-to-end delivery.

Challenges

What We Had to Solve

Building a digital presence from zero: Tehzeeb Bakers had no existing eCommerce infrastructure. We needed to design and build a full Magento 2 storefront, architecture, theme, catalog, and checkout, entirely from scratch while staying faithful to the brand's warm, heritage identity.

Managing multi-location pickup at checkout: With multiple bakery outlets across the city, customers needed a seamless way to browse store locations, check availability, and select a preferred pickup branch at checkout, without friction or confusion.

Unifying online and in-store operations: Without a connected POS system, in-store and online orders would operate in silos, creating inventory discrepancies and operational overhead. Bridging both channels under one platform was a critical requirement.

How We Delivered It

Custom Magento 2 Storefront

A bespoke Magento 2 theme built from scratch, covering homepage, category listings, product detail pages, and navigation, all reflecting Tehzeeb's brand identity.

Store Pickup at Checkout

Using our FME Store Pickup extension, customers can view all Tehzeeb branch locations and select their preferred pickup point directly at checkout alongside home delivery.

Delivery & Self-Pickup Modes

The checkout flow supports both home delivery and in-store self-pickup, giving customers full flexibility. The method selector is clean, intuitive, and mobile-optimized.

Custom Checkout Field

Our Custom Checkout Fields extension adds a tailored input to the checkout, capturing order-specific information that standard Magento fields do not accommodate.

Full POS System

A complete Point of Sale system for Tehzeeb's in-store staff, synced with the Magento backend, enabling staff to process walk-in orders, manage products, and track sales.

Mobile-First Responsive Design

Every page was built mobile-first, ensuring a smooth experience across all devices, critical for a food brand where impulse purchases on mobile are prevalent.

The Tehzeeb Bakers project stands as one of our most comprehensive end-to-end deliveries.
