How to Enable or Disable Reorder in Magento 2?

Improved online shopping experience is what every digital merchant wants in their stores. This is the key to increase sales and customer loyalty.

Allowing customers to reorder a previously purchased product without them having to go through the entire order placement process is a great feature. Customers can place a repeat order directly from the ‘My Account’ section with all the previously entered details pre-filled. They just have to hit the ‘Submit Order’ button.

Magento 2 facilitates this feature and allows both customers and admin to place a reorder of items once purchased. You can enable the reorder option from the backend in just a few clicks and if you don’t want to use the feature, you can disable it too.

Steps to Enable or Disable Reorder in Magento 2

  • Login to your Magento 2 admin panel
  • Go to Stores > Settings > Configuration
  • Expand Sales and select Sales
  • Expand the Reorder section
  • Choose ‘Yes’ in the “Allow Reorder” dropdown field to enable. Choose ‘No’ to disable the reorder functionality.
  • Save the configuration
